Our lab members have actively and promotively performed the following basic science and clinical research.

  1. Dental biology: Medication-related osteonecrosis of the jaw, regenerative medicine with cell-based therapy, and immunological response around dental implants to understand the pathophysiology of and treatment strategy for intractable diseases and implant treatment.
  2. Dental Implant and Fixed partial denture: Dental treatment and research with dental implant and/or fixed partial denture with being linked to CAD/CAM and digital technology.
  3. Digital Technology: In vivo studies regarding various technologies contributing to digitalization and digitization with application of 3D-CAD software and 3D printers in dental/medical fields to establish effective digital workflow.
  4. Oral-maxillofacial Function/Occlusion: Bruxism-related research with ultra-small wearable electromyograph. Clinical research to understand the relationship among bruxism, sleep apnea syndrome and occlusal force.
  5. Maxillofacial Prosthesis/Jaw Deformity: Interdisciplinary team approach to jaw deformities. Delivery of the maxillofacial Prosthesis and epithesis assisting jaw and/or facial defects based on digital technology.
