Thank you for visiting the website of Restorative Dentistry, Faculty of Dental Medicine, Hokkaido University.
Since 1967, our department has provided advanced restorative treatment and dental conservation education, as well as research of innovative dental materials and treatment techniques. While inheriting the traditions of our predecessors, we would like to grow our department by adding new perspectives and repeating the succession and development. Moreover, we not only help patients who have problems in their mouths, but also those who do not currently have problems in their mouths by returning our knowledge, technology, and research results to society. We recognize that it is our duty to contribute to the improvement of patients' QOL by maintaining their health condition and realizing long-term preservation of teeth.
In addition, dental regeneration research has made remarkable progress in recent years. Therefore, dental regeneration research is one of the research fields where further development can be expected in the future. In our department, we plan to work on research and development of next-generation dental materials with tissue regeneration ability by combining dental regeneration research and biomaterials research. Furthermore, we would like to contribute to the development of dental care not only in developed countries but also in developing countries by simplifying the usage.
If you want to contribute to society through clinical practice, research, and education related to restorative dentistry, why don't you work on various things with us? We look forward to your participation.
