北海道大学の歴史と理念
1876年アメリカ合衆国マサチューセッツ農業大学から教頭としてアメリカ人教授２名、大学生１１名と共に来日されました。1907年に札幌農学校は東北帝国大学農科大学に名称を変更しました。その後1918年に７つある帝国大学の中の５つ目として北海道帝国大学が設立し、現在に至ります。
北海道大学は、大学院に重点を置く基幹総合大学であり、その起源は、日本最初の近代的大学として１８７６年に設立された札幌農学校に遡ります。爾来、帝国大学を経て新制大学に至る長い歴史のなかで、本学は、「フロンティア精神」、「国際性の涵養」、「全人教育」及び「実学の重視」という教育研究に関わる基本理念を掲げ、培ってきました。社会の要請に応えて国立大学法人としての歩みを始めるにあたって、北海道大学は、これらの基本理念を再確認するとともに、社会に対する説明責任を認識しつつ、新たに獲得した自由の中で、新世紀における知の創成、伝承、実証の拠点として発展するための長期的な目標を示しております。
北海道大学大学院歯学研究院に関して
北海道大学大学歯学部は1967年、その後、大学院歯学研究院は1974年に設立されました。現在歯学研究院は２４の大学院コース、２０の診療科を有しております。また、現在オレゴン健康科学大学(OHSU)・ハルビン医科大学（HMU)・全北大学・オーフス大学(UNIGE)と姉妹校です。当学部・研究院は教育と研究が統合されています。そのため、当大学院生は教育と研究に従事することが可能となっております。そのため、当学部・研究院の目標の１つは教育と研究の質を向上し続けることです。
歯科保存学教室に関して
歯科保存学は患者さんの口腔や歯の修復に関する幅広い分野を有しております。その分野は以下のものが挙げられます。
保存修復学：欠損した歯に対して材料を充填します。
歯周病学：歯周組織に対する予防と治療を行います。
歯内療法学：歯髄に対して根管治療治療を行います。
当教室では主に保存修復治療を行い、その他の治療を患者さんの状態に応じて行っております。

Hokkaido University History and Philosophies.
In 1876, Dr. William S. Clark, at that time resident of the Massachusetts
Agricultural College in the Unites States was invited to be Vice Principal
of Sapporo Agricultural College. He arrived in Sapporo with 2 American
professors and 11 students. In 1907, Sapporo Agricultural College became
Agricultural College of Tohoku Imperial University. In 1918, The University
became the 5th prestigious university on the mainland of Japan to join
a league of seven Imperial Universities formed by the Imperial Japanese
government. This distinction continues to hold prominence in Japan today.
Hokkaido University is a mainstay comprehensive university that places
importance on its graduate schools. The university started out in 1876
as the Sapporo Agricultural College, the first modern academic institute
in Japan. We have passed through a long period of history, including our
time as an Imperial College, as well as during the creation of the new
university system. Over this period, we have declared and cultivated our
basic philosophies of education and research, namely “Frontier Spirit”,
“Global Perspectives”, “All-round Education” and “Practical Learning.”
In order to meet the demands of society and to move ahead as a National
University Corporation, Hokkaido University needs to formulate a long term
goal for developing the basis of knowledge creation, knowledge dissemination
and knowledge application in the new century, with our newly acquired freedom,
while reconfirming our basic philosophies and recognizing our accountability
to society.
About Hokkaido University Graduate School of Dental Medicine, School of
Dental Medicine
School of Dental Medicine was established in 1967. The Graduate School
started in 1974. Currently, the school comprises of 24 graduate courses
and 20 clinics. Furthermore, the Faculty of Dentistry has close collaborations
with several foreign university is like (Oregon Health & Science University; OHSU, Harbin Medical University;HMU, Chonbuk National University, Aarhus University, University of Geneva;UNIGE)
The Faculty of Dentistry adheres to the integrated approach to teaching and research. Thus, dental students will be introduced to both applied clinical research and current issues of dental practice. Therefore, one of the declared goals is to continually improve the quality of teaching and research.
About Department of Restorative Dentistry
Conservative dentistry in its broadest sense involves the restoration of
oral and dental tissues for patients. It includes the following dental
disciplines:
Restorative dentistry which involves the diagnosing the teeth condition,
the filling of the teeth, supports to construct of teeth;
periodontology which is the prevention and treatment of gum and bone diseases;
endodontics which includes root canal treatment;
Though the department is mainly responsible for adressing the restorative
needs of the patients, according to patient's condition we also provide
other necessary treetments.

北海道大学的历史与理念。 1876年，任美国马萨诸塞州农学院特派代表的 Dr. William S. Clark 受邀来到札幌农学院，与之同行的还有2名美国的教授和11名学生。1907年，札幌农学院成为东北帝国大学农学院。1918年大学加入日本帝国政府成立的七所帝国大学联盟，是日本设立的第5所帝国大学。
这所综合性的大学目前依然占据着日本重要的位置。北海道大学是一所以研究为重点的综合性大学,始建于1876年，前身为札幌农业学院，是日本第一所现代化的学术机构。我们拥有悠久的历史，包括作为帝国理工学院的时代，以及新大学体系的创建时期。通过这段时期，我们确立和培育了“开拓精神”、“全球视野”、“全面教育”、“实践学习”等教育科研基本理念。为了社会发展的需求和国立大学联盟的发展,北海道大学需要制定一个长期目标以提高知识创新为基础,新的世纪中知识传播和知识应用,与我们的新获得的自由,同时确认了我们的基本思想和认识我们的社会责任。
北海道大学齿科医学院成立于1967年。研究生学院成立于1974年。到目前为止，学院成立24个研究科室及20个临床科室。此外，齿学院与7所国际学校积极的展开合作， 分别是（俄勒冈健康与科学大学; OHSU，哈尔滨医科大学; HMU，全北国立大学，奥胡斯大学，日内瓦大学; UNIGE）。我们科室致力于科教研一体发展。齿学部的学生们既可以产与临床相关的研究，又可以产与牙科实践。因此，不断的提高教学和研究的质量是我们的目标之一。
关于恢复性牙科保守性牙科最广泛的意义在于为患者口腔和牙体组织提供修复治疗
它包括以下牙科学科科室：
修复学：口腔诊断、牙齿充填、牙齿修复
牙周科：预防并治疗牙龈和牙槽骨疾病
牙体牙髓科：根管治疗
本科室主要提供患者牙齿修复工作，同时我们也会根据患者的情况提供个性化治疗。
歯科医師の皆様へ
当診療科は歯冠修復・根管治療・入院患者さんに対する口腔ケア・歯科漂白を行っております。
歯冠修復：当診療科は世界中から様々なコンポジットレジン材料を有しております。当科ではCAD/CAMによる治療も行っており、アマルガムなどの水銀を有する材料の使用を行っておりません。
根管治療：狭窄したり湾曲したり多数の副根管を有する歯の根管の治療は大変難しいものです。当科では長期間にわたる治療や顕微鏡を使用する治療などによって最良の診療を提供しております。
入院患者さんに対する口腔ケア：骨髄移植や臓器移植、心臓手術、関節手術など感染時のリスクが高い患者さんに対して術前・術中・術後の口腔ケアを行っております。
歯科漂白：患者さんに対して歯周組織を保護するジェルをまず塗布し、その後、漂白治療を行っております。特殊な照射器やレーザーを用いることによって漂白をより効果的なものとしております。

(a) Restorative Dentistry
Our department provides many kinds of composite resin materials from all
over the world.
This also implies modern CAD/CAM restoration systems. Those technics promote
safer dental restorations by reducing the use of metal amalgam fillings,
which often contain traces of mercury.
(b) Root canal treatments
It is difficult to treat narrow and curved root canals with a large number
of accessary canal. Our department provides long term treatment for all
patients by using microscopes for best outcome.
(c) Inpatient dental care
Preventing life threading infections in patients after bone marrow transplantation,
organ transplants, cardiac surgery or joint surgery, our department provides
complete dental care before, during and after medical interventions.
(d) Dental bleaching
The dentist will apply either a protective gel to your gums to protect
your gums.The bleaching agent is then applied to the teeth. A special light
or laser might be used to enhance the action of the whitening agent.

牙齿的保存
我们的科室拥有来自世界各地的牙科树脂材料，同时引进了最新的CAD/CAM修复系统，通过减少了银汞合金的使用，进而提升了牙齿保存的安全性。
根管治疗 根管治疗的困难之处在于器械很难进入弯曲根管与狭窄根管。于是我们科室引进显微根管技术以达到最好的效果。
住院病人的口腔保健 口腔保存科室会为住院患者（如骨髓移植，器官移植，心脏手术关节手术)提供全面的口腔护理。
牙齿美白 在牙齿美白之前，医生在牙龈处涂布保护凝胶保护牙龈，同时运用特定波长的光源以提高美白效果。
