A living body makes hierarchy micro/nano structures and they play important role in body. We imitate them, and then prepared various micro/nano-patterns with biomaterials. The surface of the patterns are expected to exhibit strong cell adhesion or anti-bacterial activities depending on design of structures.

②.Analysis and control of interface between a living body/materials and Development of highly advanced medical materials:

Phosphorylated pullulan designed by dental adhesive theory is functional polysaccharide materials which adhere strongly to biological hard tissue. It is possible to apply for functionalization of various medical materials such as oral care product, bone filling materials, implant, and DDS, etc.

③.Development of drug sustain release dental materials:

Porous materials are widely known to be able to store various molecules in their pores. We add these porous materials to various dental materials as a drug carrier and develop new drug sustained release dental materials.
