Overview

To develop the fields of dental medicine and oral medical science, the Hokkaido University Graduate School of Dental Medicine cultivates researchers and educators who can keep up with the latest academic knowledge and research in the field of dental medicine and who will advance the progress of education and research in that field. The graduate school also cultivates highly specialized professionals who possess advanced knowledge in specialized fields and dental technologies. To do this, the graduate school offers general admission, adult admission and special category for international students.

This graduate school has a system for offering preliminary counseling to prospective students regarding their research topics, etc., in order to provide careful guidance in line with each research student’s wishes and career path. Those wishing to apply to this graduate school should apply only after consulting with their preferred academic advisors in advance. Online Application Registration

1) Visit the online application page of Hokkaido University’s Web site ○Online application page Notes: * Be sure to read all instructions and notes before completing the online application. *To use this web site, you will need a printer to print out the necessary documents and an e-mail address that can be used to receive the application confirmation e-mail and examination fee payment completion e-mail. Be sure you have an access to printer and an e-mail address ready before starting application procedures. Cell phone email addresses can not be used.

2) Select and enter the necessary information in accordance with the on-screen instructions.

3) If you accurately enter all of the necessary information, a confirmation e-mail will be sent to the e-mail address you provided. -Important Notes- ・To apply, read the application guidelines carefully and follow the instructions. ・Applications will be accepted only from those who meet the application qualifications and have been confirmed as having completed the following steps during the application period:

  1. Online application registration
  2. Payment of the examination fee (excluding those who are exempt)
  3. Submission (via postal mail) of the necessary application materials

・If the graduate school cannot confirm that the applicant has completed all three steps within the application period, the application will not be accepted. Be sure to leave yourself enough time to complete application procedures. Hokkaido University DX Doctoral Fellowship

We accept applications for the "Hokkaido University DX Doctoral Fellowship", which provides a stipend equivalent to living expenses and research  expenses for students who plan to enroll in the doctoral program at Hokkaido University. You can apply for the fellowship even before taking the entrance examination.
